Harlem Renaissance Classic

The most important NCAA sporting event in the country.

  • The goal of these inter conference sports competitions is to shrink the racial divide and increase social equity through sports.
  • Historically Black Colleges and Universities were created because blacks were not afforded the opportunity for higher education.
  • Today, they thrive and produce many of our leaders in business, education, politics, and technology. Title IX Challenge adds elementary school attendees to our marketing focus.
  • This Pre Thanksgiving event features a DEI Career Expo, College Experience Fair, Esport Competition, High School Debate and Awards Presentations.

Discover Diversity Project

Where are the jobs? What skills are required?

 
  • There will be Career support service organizations i.e Medical Plans, Graduate and Professional Schools, Employment Services Contractors.
  • Positioning the next generation’s diverse workforce in the room with a chair at the table is the primary goal of this innovative project.
  • The Discover Diversity Project is a college/career expo that provides diverse attendees (College Seniors) with an opportunity to the career pipeline prior to graduation.
  • The employers come with jobs, panelists provide directions on career navigation and networks leading to high net worth.

HBCU Allstar Dream Classic Week

The most anticipated community engagement platform of the Summer.

  • Forty (40) of the best HBCU Basketball Players in the country journey to historic Rucker Park in Harlem to create an amazing experience for Alumni, Students, Friends and Supporters.
  • The week of festivities also includes D9 Classic, HBCU Skills Challenge, HBCU vs City Contest, Mental Health Wellness Workshops, and Back to School Supply Fun & Games Competition.
  • It’s safe fun for the entire family supported by Community Groups, Fraternities, Sororities, and Local Businesses.

HBCU Film Series

Storytelling is at the heart of our connection with the community.

  • Admission counselors and Support service organizations will be in attendance to provide answers for students in search of career and community options.
  • The power of film in being able to communicate a story is the essence of the HBCU Film Series.
  • Feature, documentary, Shorts and Independent we find the intersection to provide insight and empowerment.
  • Each HBCU Film Series will consist of a film screening, panel discussion,

Harlem HBCU/D9 Experience

Not your typical College Fair. Why attend an HBCU? Who’s attending HBCU? What are the choices?

  • Fan Fest, Step Shows, Pre-Homecoming In-School celebrations.
  • See a Film.. Listen to a Panel Discussion.. Engage in a Talk Back Q&A. Watch a Greek Organization simulate the Yard excitement.
  • Learn from those that have walked that College journey before.
  • Ask questions and engage with the Admissions Counselors, Financial Aid Officers, and Alumni to gather invaluable insight and information on the Career and College journey.
  • End the day with a networking Luncheon and build on personal net worth.

Next XO Boot Camp

A monthly intense, 90 minute exploration into Entrepreneurship, Financial Literacy, College and Career Readiness and Health and Nutrition.

  • Sports and Entertainment Career Conferences and Workshops with Industry Guest Speakers and Moderators.
  • NYC High School Students will engage in hands-on workshops that include lecture, information, analysis, group project, and Q&A sessions.
  • The program will feature practicing professionals in the core fields with supplemental homework and follow-up to ensure good habit development.
  • Developing the necessary skills to prepare youth for the challenges that will be faced in the global economy.
